The ICT Operations 4.0 project is creating a new organisation for the operation and support of the FCA's ICT services.
Status and outlook
The project is in the implementation phase and is being managed using an agile method. The concepts for the monitoring of business processes, the optimised support organisation and the necessary operating processes are currently being drawn up in close cooperation with the Federal Office of Information Technology, Systems and Telecommunication (FOITT).
The new ICT business organisation will be defined from the second quarter of 2020. The skills required will be determined, and the employees of the new organisation will receive suitable training to prepare them for their new tasks.
The new ICT business organisation, with the associated processes and tools, will be stabilised and optimised in the course of 2021.
The project is expected to be completed by the end of 2021.
Objective and purpose
The digitalisation of the FCA, and the heightened automation of business processes this entails, is leading to greater demand for ICT services. This requires holistic monitoring and continuous expansion to 24/7 support for these business processes.
The necessary processes and tools, as well as the new organisation, will be defined and introduced in close cooperation with the service providers.
The new support organisation will also support agile software development needs. Moreover, end-to-end monitoring will be set up from a business process perspective and the required ICT configurations will be mapped.
