DaziT transformation programme

The DaziT programme is the key element in the modernisation and digitalisation of the Federal Customs Administration (FCA). DaziT stands for "dazi", the Romansh word for "customs", and for "transformation".

DaziT pursues a holistic transformation approach. Customs, tax and duty collection processes are being simplified, harmonised and fully digitalised. More efficient processes and digital networking will mean improved security for the population, businesses and the state with regard to cross-border crime and irregular migration.

The DaziT programme was officially launched on 1 January 2018 and will run until the end of 2026. Parliament unanimously approved a guarantee credit of around CHF 400 million in autumn 2017. The Director of the FCA, Christian Bock, is in charge of the overall programme and Vice-Director Isabelle Emmenegger is managing the programme.
